Thompson Innovative Glass is able to support this specialty glass printing market with our digital printing equipment and knowledgeable staff. This process requires a digital file that is either supplied by the customer or created by Thompson using sophisticated image editing software. The image is then loaded into the large digital printer where it is printed on to the glass using various colors of ceramic ink. The ceramic ink is of the best quality, making it weatherproof, as well as scratch and UV resistant.
The ink is then cured thermally in the tempering oven. After curing, the ink bonds to the glass surface and becomes very hard and almost impossible to remove. Brilliant in color, the result is an attractive, high-resolution and durable product. Digital printing can be applied to glass to create various graphics on glass for almost unlimited applications.
