Advanced Digital Printing on Glass with Ceramic Inks
Thompson Innovative Glass can support this specialty glass printing market with our digital printing equipment and knowledgeable staff. This process requires a digital file (thus the common product name of Digitally Printed Glass) that is either supplied by the customer or created by Thompson using sophisticated image editing software. The image is then loaded into the large digital printer where it is printed on to the glass using various colors of ceramic ink. The ceramic ink is of the best quality, making it weatherproof, as well as scratch and UV resistant.

The ink is then cured thermally in the tempering oven. After curing, the ink bonds to the glass surface and becomes very hard and almost impossible to remove.
